Mehmet Okur
Mehmet Okur has signed with Turk Telekom Ankara. Okur’s contract will allow him to return to the Jazz when the lockout is over.
Okur has recovered from his back issue and the left Achilles tendon injury that limited his court time last year.
“He’s healthy enough to play now,” Fleisher said.
“The driving force behind this is him not having played for a while and wanting to get back on court and finding a rhythm,” Fleisher said. “He wants to get ready sooner than later so he’ll be in a better position to contribute immediately (in the NBA).”

Mehmet Okur
The Jazz still do not have a timetable for Mehmet Okur’s predicted return, but they took this season off the table.
After Wednesday’s 119-104 win over Minnesota, they announced a time frame in which the injury-plagued center will not come back. “We’re going to shut Mehmet Okur down for the rest of the year,” Jazz general manager Kevin O’Connor said.
“We’ve tried everything. He’s tried everything. He’s disappointed and discouraged that he couldn’t be back because he wants to help the team.”

Kyrylo Fesenko
On the final day of his offseason, restricted free-agent center Kyrylo Fesenko agreed to re-sign with the Utah Jazz.
Sources with knowledge of the deal said that Fesenko ultimately passed on a multiyear offer from the Houston Rockets on Sunday and will soon sign his one-year qualifying offer with Utah worth just over $1 million.
Luxury-tax concerns prevented Utah from offering Fesenko more, but bringing Fesenko back was a high priority for the Jazz with big man Mehmet Okur sidelined indefinitely as he recovers from heel surgery.

Mehmet Okur
The Jazz have confirmed that Mehmet Okur has a ruptured Achilles and will miss three to six months.
The Jazz will be forced to start either Kyrylo Fesenko or Kosta Koufos in Game 2 against Denver.
Carlos Boozer said that Okur had tears in his eyes after the game upon realizing that his season is over.

Andrei Kirilenko
Wondering whom they will play against in the NBA playoffs is not the only question on the Utah Jazz’s minds right now.
They are also trying to figure out who will play for them this week.
And they are much more concerned with getting Andrei Kirilenko and Mehmet Okur back than they are worrying about if they will play the Spurs, the Suns or any of their other six possible first-round foes.

Korver and Okur
Jazz center Mehmet Okur pedaled a stationary bike prior to practice and made it through the session without any problems Monday, marking his return from a stomach virus that caused him to miss three straight games.
“I’m feeling better now,” said Okur, who plans to play when the Jazz face Oklahoma City Tuesday night.
But Kyle Korver, who backed up Ronnie Brewer at shooting guard last season, said Monday he hopes to perhaps be ready to return by week’s end.
“It’s possible, I think,” he said. “But we’ll see how it is.”
