The Rock­ets will con­sider trad­ing Tracy McGrady to the 76ers if they are “knocked over” with the amount of tal­ent in the deal, a source told Philly.com.

The source added that Hous­ton will not deal McGrady for Elton Brand, but that they would be inter­ested in a trade that includes Andre Iguo­dala and some of Philadelphia’s younger talent.

The Rock­ets and Six­ers have not talked in “more than a week”, accord­ing to the source, mak­ing a deal unlikely, but said any swap involv­ing Iguo­dala “has a chance.”

76ers for­ward Elton Brand is start­ing to express his frus­tra­tion more and more.

Brand com­plained about the team get­ting off to slow starts. Philadel­phia has trailed by double-digits in the first half in each of their last four games.

Coach Eddie Jor­dan has had Brand com­ing off the bench in all those contests.

“It’s hap­pen­ing every night,” said Brand of the slow starts. “We have to fight and claw back to get a lead. It’s tough play­ing like that.”

Last night against the Golden State War­riors, Jor­dan started a lineup of vet­eran Allen Iver­son, rookie Jrue Hol­i­day, Andre Iguo­dala, Thad­deus Young, and Samuel Dalembert.

Brand is owed $66 mil­lion over the remain­ing four years of his large con­tract and sources added that it will be dif­fi­cult for Philadel­phia to deal him.

A num­ber of teams are look­ing for low-post scor­ers, like Char­lotte and Golden State, but nei­ther team appears will­ing to take on Brand’s contract.
