Steve Blake
It is hard to imagine anybody coveting any player on the 25-39 Los Angeles Clippers right now, but the Orlando Magic is apparently thinking that it would like to add Clippers point guard Steve Blake this summer.
Blake stepped into the starting lineup last night to replace the hurting Baron Davis and ended up with 11 points, two rebounds, five assists, and one steal.
Nine of those points came through three three-pointers.

Mike Dunleavey
The Los Angeles Clippers and GM Mike Dunleavy today have severed ties.
Dunleavy previously also served as the team’s head coach from 2003-04 until February 4, 2010.
The organization has determined that the goal of building a winning team is best served by making this decision at this time.
The team has simply not made sufficient progress during Dunleavy’s seven-year tenure.

Los Angeles Clippers
When all contracts expire this summer, the Los Angeles Clippers will be left with Baron Davis, Chris Kaman, Blake Griffin, Eric Gordon and DeAndre Jordan.
That adds up to a payroll of less than $35 million.
There are a slew of big-name free agents available this summer and, while it seems extremely unlikely that LeBron James or Chris Bosh will join the Clips, there are a lot of strong second-tier players who would be happy to take the money and live in Southern California.
“All I can say to you is we have a lot of cap space and we will use the flexibility in the best way we can help our team,” Mike Dunleavy said.

Antawn Jamison
Cleveland, Washington and the Los Angeles Clippers pulled off a three-team deal on Wednesday that sends Antawn Jamison to the Cavaliers.
Cleveland sends Zydrunas Ilgauskas and his expiring $11.5 million contract to Washington. The Wizards also get a 2010 first-round draft pick from the Cavs along with the rights to Emir Preldzic.
The Wizards receive Al Thornton from the Clippers, with L.A. getting forward Drew Gooden, whom Washington acquired in last week’s trade with Dallas.
Besides Jamison, Cleveland also will acquire Clippers guard Sebastian Telfair.

Ricky Davis
The Clippers waived combo guard Ricky Davis on Tuesday in order to clear roster space for Steve Blake and Travis Outlaw following the Marcus Camby trade.
Davis, 30, in his 12th NBA season is averaging 4.4 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 36 games in 2009-10.

Marcus Camby
Travis Outlaw has told the Oregonian that his agent, Bill Duffy, informed him that a trade involving the Trail Blazers and Clippers should be completed on Tuesday.
“He said it is still being finished, but that it should go through,” Outlaw said.
The rumored trade will send Marcus Camby to Portland in exchange for Outlaw, guard Steve Blake and cash. Ironically, Portland and Los Angeles will face off on Thursday night.

DeMar DeRozan
Toronto rookie DeMar DeRozan has won the inaugural All-Star “Dunk-In” to earn a place in the slam dunk contest.
DeRozan defeated Los Angeles Clippers guard Eric Gordon at halftime of the rookie challenge on Friday night. Each player had two dunks, and Gordon struggled to put his first one down.
DeRozan earned 61 percent from fans who voted online and by text message.
He will compete against defending champion Nate Robinson, Charlotte All-Star Gerald Wallace and Lakers guard Shannon Brown on Saturday night during the final event of All-Star Saturday night.

Marcus Camby
A person familiar with the Clippers’ internal discussions said the team would move Marcus Camby and his $7.65 million contract only in a deal that would yield a significant player who could help them next season.
The Clips are a small deal away from clearing the $15-$16 million necessary to sign a max player.
If they can not improve their 2010-11 position dramatically, Camby stays.
Two of Camby’s former teams, the Nuggets and Knicks, are intrigued by the possibility of bringing him back for an encore.
