Rodney Stuckey

Pistons guard Rodney Stuckey will spend the next four weeks working out with strength and conditioning coach Arnie Kander in preparation for the starting of training camp.

Stuckey is excited to see what he will weight when camp opens on Sept. 27.

“I haven’t gotten on a scale yet,” he said.

“The 27th will be the first time I’ll be on the scale. I’m looking forward to (learning) how much weight I lost. It looks like I lost a lot of weight, right? I think I just toned up a lot. My clothes fit a lot different. I’ve got to poke holes inside my belt because I’m losing a lot of weight. I’ve just been working hard, staying focused and just working out.”

Chris Paul

Hornets coach Monty Williams says that All-Star point guard Chris Paul never asked the team for a trade.

New Orleans named Williams their new head coach in early July and soon after Paul rumors begin to kick up.

“You can say it has settled down now, but it was settled before that,” Williams told Sporting News.

“For me, it was never an issue. Chris never said anything about a trade. He never asked for a trade. He wants us to be a better team, but we all want that and Dell [Demps] and I are going to do all that we can to make it a better team. We’re going to make this a better team with Chris here.”

Delonte West

The Celtics are bringing troubled guard Delonte West back to Boston.

Celtics president Danny Ainge confirmed on Wednesday that the team will re-sign West, who started his career in Boston.

West spent three seasons with the Celtics before being dealt to Seattle in the draft-day trade that paired Ray Allen with Paul Pierce.

He will be ineligible for the first 10 games of the season after being suspended by the league following a guilty plea on weapons charges in the state of Maryland.

Carmelo Anthony

Is Carmelo Anthony willing to hold out for his first choice?

According to a report from Tommy Dee of TheKnicksBlog.com, Anthony wants to play in New York and the current negotiations over a new collective bargaining agreement do not concern him enough to change course and commit to another team.

“Again, I maintain based on strong information that Melo will not sign an extension with any other team than the Knicks,” writes Dee. “He’s confident that he’ll get paid CBA or not. Right or wrong that seems to be his stance at this point in time.”

Deron Williams

There has been speculation from Jazz fans concerning whether or not Deron Williams wants to stay in Utah anymore.

After losing teammates Carlos Boozer, Ronnie Brewer, Wesley Matthews and Kyle Korver, is there any reason not to believe that Deron would want out?

Williams had an interview with David Locke (the new radio voice for the Jazz) a couple weeks ago, and he stated that he no longer lives in Salt Lake City during the summer months. Is this a sign?

Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers were a fairly stable franchise during the LeBron James era but now that the team is moving into life without the kid from Akron, things are not expected to be so solid.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that there are not any trades currently planned but if the team can not get itself above .500 at mid-season, there could be a lot of player movement.

The Dealer claims that if that is the case, the team will put Mo Williams, Antawn Jamison, Anthony Parker, and Jamario Moon up on the trading block and is betting 60/40 right now that Jamison will be gone before the deadline passes.

Ron Artest

Lakers forward Ron Artest took issue with suggestions that his team’s triumph over the Celtics was impacted by the absence of Kendrick Perkins after the center blew out his knee.

“Boston lost to lakers because of [the] Kendrick Perkins injury. What about in [2008] when (Andrew) Bynum was injured. What about this year Bynum was injured,” Artest tweeted.

“What about Kobe played with a broke finger …. What about Ron [Artest's] defense [w]hen the Boston staff said Ron [A]rtest was too slow. … Doc got one million excuses.”

Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony’s Twitter account was hacked on Saturday night. Anthony wrote on Sunday that he was back in control of his account.

Someone who went by the name Kat Stacks reportedly started flirting with Anthony on his Twitter page. Shortly after, Anthony’s wife, LaLa Vazquez, wrote back her own threatening tweet.

A tweet on Anthony’s page subsequently followed: “I got 5k for whoever see @ihatekatstacks and slap the s**t out her pigeon face a**. Real talk. U f****d with the right one now,” Anthony’s Twitter account read Saturday.
